On Wednesday February 27th almost all the provinces were standing up to bullying by wearing pink. Calgary, however, took it to a whole other level with a pink food potluck. If I were to say anything about the second floor of the Red Cross building it would be that when they put their minds to something, great things happen.
The entire menu had some shade of pink to it: Mushroom soup, perogies and sour cream, raspberry ginger ale, strawberry ice cream, coconut rice pudding, rose rice pudding, cupcakes, Swedish berries, wafers, sunny delight, strawberry milk, spinach salad, pizza, baked brie with jam, ketchup chips, Cheezies and streamers for decoration.
What might have made some people gag turned out to the most delicious Pink Shirt Day on record.
