Reaching Northern communities affected by disasters

Northern Saskatchewan disaster training Seventeen volunteers from Northern Saskatchewan took part in Red Cross disaster response training in Prince Albert

We are always thrilled when new volunteers sign up but we were especially excited with some of our most recent recruits in Saskatchewan.

There are Red Cross disaster volunteers across the entire country who help ensure assistance is quickly made available to those affected by disasters large and small. Getting assistance to those affected by disasters in remote northern communities can often be challenging. So when 17 people from Stony Rapids, LaRonge, Cumberland House, Montreal Lake and Prince Albert were recently trained to help respond to disasters in their home communities in northern Saskatchewan we were ecstatic.
