This is the time of the year when the annual monsoon rains return to Pakistan and families remember the floods of 2010. Pictured above, children are enjoying bathing under a handpump installed by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society. Many families are also beginning to settle into their new homes, which were built with support from the Pakistan Red Crescent Society. Recently, the National Society completed and formally handed over 455 shelters in Shikarpur and Kambar Shahdad Kot districts in Sindh province. Visit the IFRC to learn about how these homes were designed to be more flood resistant for the annual torrential downpours.
