Great news to share from Newfoundland and Labrador! Construction began last week to expand the Canadian Red Cross facility in St. John’s. The new addition, the Hibernia Training and Disaster Management Centre, will be used to train volunteers, store supplies such as cots and disaster kits, and act as the hub of operations during disaster responses in the province. The volunteers pictured here were active in the fundraising campaign and were on hand for the ground-breaking ceremony.
