It's that time of year when we cannot wait to take part in our favourite summer activities on the water. Red Cross offices across Atlantic Canada have hundreds of PFDs (a.k.a. personal floatation devices or lifejackets) of all sizes ready to go for the season. The PFD loan program is unique to the East Coast and allows people to borrow PFDs at no cost for a short periods of time during the summer months.
