Pink Shirt Day started in 2007 in Nova Scotia after two boys decided to stand up for a boy who had been bullied for wearing pink to school. It has since caught on around the world. In Saskatchewan Pink Shirt Day activities last week were led by the Canadian Red Cross. More than 16,000 people from over 100 communities and 93 schools in the province took part. People everywhere were in pink, from this fun Pink Shirt flash mob, to pink parades, rallies, concerts, BBQs, and bullying prevention presentations delivered by pro-football players.
