The Canadian Red Cross is doing its part to encourage more young Canadians to become active global citizens. Its Humanitarian Issues Promotion Program in BC is running a youth-led event called Humanity Strikes Back. This year's theme was "Starting Ripples, Making Waves", with workshops about topics such as poverty, child soldiers and climate change. Participants helped create awareness about these issues in their own community, and - as you can see - had a lot of fun as well!
