Trillium Resolve Disaster Training Exercise

This week in Ontario, the Canadian Red Cross is participating in an emergency training exercise called the Trillium Resolve. The Trillium Resolve is a disaster response exercise that simulates severe weather events to test the province’s ability to respond to emergencies.

The training exercise will take place in Huron, Bruce, Grey, and Wellington counties. Yesterday’s activities included staged transportation emergencies involving hazardous materials. Today’s exercises are intended to test the ability of emergency response organizations to respond. The Red Cross will be on hand in Kincardine to set up and open shelters as part of the training exercise.

You can follow the training exercise on Twitter by following the #trilliumresolve hashtag.
