Food Friday: Holiday gift ideas for Red Cross foodies

*Every Friday is all about food on Red Cross Talks – everything from Red Cross inspired recipes to emergency food tips and solutions.

Holiday shopping time is in full swing. I don’t know about you, but I find it little bit stressful – the super packed stores and parking lots, racking your brain to find the perfect gift for each person on your list. It can be enough to drive anyone crazy!

We’re going to try to reduce some of your stress and help to cross some presents off your list. For this Food Friday, we have put together a little list of gift ideas for the Red Crosser and foodie in your life.

1. Spork - it’s not a spoon or a fork, it’s a spork! This fork and spoon all-in-one is a perfect stocking stuffer as well as a great item for your emergency kit. They are available in array of different colours, including our favourite: red.

2. Antique Red Cross nurse salt & pepper shakers – we found these salt & pepper shakers depicting Red Cross nurses from WWII online. They are a one-of-a-kind gift for any Red Cross foodie or history lover.

3. Heart Apron – Every foodie needs a great apron. This one is super cute and features hearts – a reminder of why it’s important to learn CPR! It has also been featured in famous magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Better Homes & Gardens.

4. Emergency Cookbook - finally, does the foodie in your life love cookbooks? Why not give them a cookbook featuring disaster-friendly recipes such as this one entitled “Apocalypse Chow”.
