November is CPR Month. To help raise awareness about the importance of first aid and CPR training, the Red Cross hosted a CPR demonstration for MPPs at Queen's Park in Toronto on Monday. Several first aid instructor trainers were on hand to show MPPs how to use an AED and the steps for performing CPR. Also attending the event was Derek Thompson, a Metrolinx employee who used an AED at Union Station to save a passenger's life. Derek was recently recognized with a Red Cross Rescuer Award.
