Going bald for Pakistan!

Check out this fun video of Cal Martin, Heritage Presentation Specialist with Parks Canada in Cornwall, shaving his head to raise funds for Pakistan.

"When I started my head shaving campaign for the Red Cross, I hoped for $500 in donations, but now the total is over $1400 and growing,” Cal told us.

Actually, that means, he’s raised $2,800 since the Canadian government announced yesterday it will expand the deadline for matching funds. Canadians now have until Oct. 3 for the government to match every dollar raised for Pakistan.

"I was shocked when I read in the newspaper that there were more donations in one day for the Tsunami than in a whole month for Pakistan. I decided that I needed to do what I could to help. I donated as much as I felt I could to the Red Cross, and encouraged my friends to do the same,” Cal said.

"When disaster strikes, you can sometimes feel overwhelmed and helpless to stop the suffering. But, every little thing, no matter how small, helps. And, it's so easy to do.”

Way to go, Cal! Thank you for your support.
