Pakistan is experiencing its worst floods in 80 years, with heavy rains and floodwaters continuing to wreak havoc across the country. The government estimates that more than 12 million people are affected.

Pakistan Red Crescent volunteers have been responding since the emergency began. So far, they have distributed relief to 77,000 people and have provided medical care to 15,000.

The Canadian Red Cross has been in Pakistan since the 2005 earthquake, and we have a strong connection with the Pakistan Red Crescent. We have contributed four mobile health units and a seven person paramedic team to help in the affected areas. We have also contributed $2.5 million to the International Red Cross appeal, including a delegate to lead a field assessment team and 900 much-needed tents.

See your impact in action.

Sign up to receive impact updates from the Canadian Red Cross, inspirational stories from the field and be the first to hear about emergency relief efforts.
