Remembering Rwanda: a decade after the genocide

In 1994, between 500,000 and one million Rwandans were killed during a genocide that took place from April 7 to mid-July. The Canadian Red Cross pays homage to the Rwandans who lost their lives during the horrific events that happened a decade ago.

Since 1994, Canadian Red Cross has dispatched dozens of relief workers to Rwanda and its bordering countries where refugees fled.  These are the stories of three of these relief workers:
