How You Can Help
Volunteer
Family Support volunteers offer emotional and practical support to families from across B.C. and the Yukon whose children have been admitted to B.C. Children's Hospital in Vancouver. The volunteers assist with transportation, provision of emergency supplies such as clothing and toiletries, and help families find the services they need in Vancouver.
The Red Cross Family Support Program and its volunteers received the 1998 Volunteer Vancouver Award honouring innovation and exceptional leadership in volunteerism.
Volunteers complete extensive training and commit to a minimum of one year of volunteer service.
Make a Donation
Corporate and individual donations are key to the continued existence of this important program. All financial donations are appreciated and are eligible for an income tax receipt. Please make your cheque or money order payable to: Red Cross, Family Support Program.
The programs and services of the Canadian Red Cross are made possible by many dedicated volunteers and the generous financial support of the public.
