Meals on Wheels in Etobicoke
Meals on Wheels supplies hot and frozen meals for a small fee to Etobicoke residents to help them live independently.
*Please note: The Red Cross delivers meals only to the Etobicoke area as similar programs are provided by other agencies in other parts of Toronto.
Meals
Each hot meal consists of soup, an entrée and a dessert. Special diets and needs can be accommodated with meals that are low fat, low cholesterol, minced, pureed, suitable for diabetics or culturally appropriate.
Meal Availability
Hot meals are available Monday through Friday and are delivered at lunchtime. Frozen meals, for weekend and evening use, can be purchased in packages of five from our menu and ordered for delivery during the week.
People who qualify:
• Seniors living alone
• Chronically ill
• Disabled people
• Patients recovering from illness
• People unable to cook for themselves
