Walmart Canada Launches Annual Campaign for Red Cross

Walmart Canada stores across the province launch their annual campaign August 2, 2012 to raise much needed funds for the Canadian Red Cross disaster preparedness and response activities. The month-long campaign, which ends August 26^th, will run in all 333 Walmart locations across the country.

Over the month, Walmart locations in Alberta will play host to a variety of events including community barbeques and our Disaster Dining challenge.

This year’s Walmart has set the ambitious goal of raising $3.2 million for the Canadian Red Cross; $400,000 more than last year’s target.

Supporting the Canadian Red Cross is easy during the campaign. During the month of August, Walmart associates will give shoppers the opportunity to make a donation while at the checkout counter.
