Horn of Africa Drought – one year on

The Red Cross Movement has a strong presence in the Horn of Africa and continues to assist communities affected by drought.

Through life-saving interventions in the Horn of Africa, the Red Cross has supported emergency relief and is addressing the root causes and chronic conditions of this drought through early recovery initiatives. These initiatives help restore living conditions, rebuild livelihoods and reduce vulnerability to drought in the medium and longer-term in affected communities.
