Disaster Management Team receives donation of bottled water

Joedy Engleby, manager of the Save-On-Food at 2390 – 24th Street N.W. graciously donated nearly 500 bottles of water to the Red Cross.
The donations came after a busy week for the Disaster Management team. The Red Cross responded to four separate emergencies in the Edmonton region. These emergencies occurred during a minor heat wave in the city with temperatures hovering around the 30 degree mark.
The donations will be used by the Disaster Management team when responding to emergencies in the Edmonton region. The team provides clothing, temporary shelter and other goods to those affected by small-scale personal disasters. 72 hours
The Canadian Red Cross is thankful for the water donated by Joedy and the team at Save-On-Foods. Unfortunately the Canadian Red Cross is unable to process donations of hard goods made by the public and has found the best way to support our disaster responses is through a financial donation.
