The Canadian Red Cross offers several programs to help individuals maintain their independence and continue living comfortably within in their own homes.

Meals on Wheels The Canadian Red Cross Meals on Wheels program delivers affordable, nutritious and delicious meals to members of the community who are unable to prepare their own food. Meals on Wheels helps people continue living independently while maintaining a healthy diet. |

Transportation Services The Canadian Red Cross provides transportation for the frail, elderly and disabled in the community. The service is for those unable to use public transportation or private means. We provide reliable transportation to and from medical appointments, shopping and rehabilitation programs. |

Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP) The Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP) loans medical equipment on a short term basis to people recovering in their homes from injury, illness or surgery. Types of equipment available include: wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, transfer benches, raised toilet seats, commodes, bath seats, versa frames and reachers. Equipment is rented for a nominal fee. List of branches that offer HELP. |
