Beyond The Hurt (Youth Workshop)
Purpose:
To promote safe and healthy environments for children and youth, free from bullying and harassment.
Format (Length):
- Classroom (1-2 hours):

- Western Zone (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Yukon)
- Information should be integrated into the classroom on an ongoing basis
- The information can be presented in a modular format: 1- 2 hours on each topic area throughout the school year
Course Content/Objectives:
- Healthy relationships and healthy schools
- Power and the role it plays in bullying dynamics
- Four types of bullying
- The roles and dynamics in a bullying situation
- Negative impact of bullying
- Harassment, stereotyping and discrimination
- Effective and safe responses to bullying
- Helping resources
- Creating a positive and inclusive culture in schools

- Minimum age of participants: 11 years of age.
- Must attend and participate in 100% of the course.
