Walking The Prevention Circle

Purpose:

To educate adults living or working with First Nations/Inuit/Métis on how to recognize and prevent violence against children and youth

Format (Length):

  • Classroom (6, 12 or 18 hours):

  • Walking the Prevention Circle Manual (included when taking the course)

  • None

Considerations:

  • Workshop open for First Nations, Inuit and Métis and non-Aboriginal people working with the community

Additional Notes:

  • Minimum age of participants: 18 years of age
  • Due to the nature of the program, candidates under the age of 18 need adult support to take this program. If this course is being led by a Prevention Educator, then younger individuals can take this course.
  • Must attend and participate in 100% of the course
  • Must successfully complete the post test
  • Certificate of Participation
