Biography - Alan Dean
Alan and his wife Theresa live in Unionville, Ontario with Jessie the family dog. Alan and Theresa have two children, Michael and Laura, who appear to have left home for the time being. Alan is a partner with the Gowling LaFleur Henderson LLP law firm in Toronto
Alan received a BA in History from Huron University College, University of Western Ontario; an LLB from the University of Western Ontario Law School; and LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.
Alan has been a member of the Ontario Zone Council of the Canadian Red Cross Society, is a national Governor and Vice President of the Canadian Red Cross Society and chairs the Pension Committee and is a member of the Investment Subcommittee and the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee and has served on the Secretary General Search Committee and the Strategic Plan Committee. He is also a director and finishing a two year term as Chair of the governing board of Providence Healthcare in Toronto – a rehabilitation and complex continuing care hospital and long term care facility in Scarborough, Ontario. Alan will serve as Past Chair of Providence for the next two years.
When not at the office or working on Red Cross or Hospital business, Alan can be found painting or otherwise repairing something at the cottage.
