Congratulations to Our 2012 Recipients!
The Honourable Catherine S. Callbeck has been selected as the 2012 Canadian Red Cross Humanitarian Award recipient in Prince Edward Island. She has made tremendous humanitarian contributions through her active involvement in the advancement of women, and women in politics, early childhood development, literacy, family resource programs and various charitable and public service groups and organizations at all levels.

The organization also named Scotty Joe Smith as its 2012 Young Humanitarian Award for the province. He has demonstrated commitment to serving others through his involvement with Development and Peace in the Philippines and his current work as a lay missionary with the LAMP program in the Dominican Republic.
The recipients will be honoured on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Canadian Red Cross Humanitarian Award dinner held at the Delta Prince Edward.
Proceeds from the fundraising dinner support Canadian Red Cross disaster services and other programs throughout Prince Edward Island.
