Medical Equipment Donations
Thank you for your interest in donating medical equipment to the Red Cross.
Please be aware that we can only accept donations of items that we loan in our programs. These are items that are easily recycled and cost effective to include in a loan program. We are in need of the following types of items:

Wheelchairs

Walkers
-
Bathroom aids
-
Power patient lifts
-
Biomedical equipment such as nebulizers and feeding pumps

Other durable medical equipment
Due to program limitations and /or government regulation, we cannot accept the following items:
-
Linens
-
Bandages
-
Urinary and incontinence supplies
-
Drugs
-
Furniture
-
Beds other than homestyle hospital beds
Equipment donations may be dropped off at one of our Loan Service depots or at our regional office. Please phone ahead to ensure we can accept the item(s) at that location.
Children's medical equipment
To donate children’s positioning or therapeutic equipment, please call (604)709-6685.
Tax receipts
In-kind donation tax receipts are available for donated equipment. If you would like a receipt, please make this clear at the time you make your donation. Our volunteer or staff person will take down your name, address and phone number. Please allow 3 months for delivery of the tax receipt.
To enquire about a tax receipt that you have not received within the timeframe above, please email lmr.HELP@redcross.ca. We will need to know where you donated the equipment, when you donated it, and what you donated.
