Youth Strategy
In 2007, Canadian Red Cross youth representatives from across the country met in St. John’s, Newfoundland to discuss youth engagement. Following the event, where 57 participants shared their experiences as volunteers, learned new skills and brainstormed ideas for increasing youth engagment for the Red Cross, a Youth Engagement Strategy was developed.
What is the Youth Engagement Strategy?
The Strategy is a document filled with proposed activities to create a fun, inclusive and healthy environment that promotes, supports and encourages youth as global citizens and leaders in the Red Cross and their communities.

What is the Youth Task Force?
The Youth Task Force is charged with overseeing the implementation of the Youth Engagement Strategy. The Task Force is made up of youth and non-youth (both volunteers and staff) from across the country.
