Canadians can help limit the effects of war in many ways.  Even surfing our website and sharing the information you've learned with friends, colleagues and family is a step in the right direction towards limiting the effects of war.

You don’t have to go overseas to make a difference in the world. We’re already global citizens. People are connected through technology, media, commerce and humanity. The question is what kind of global citizen each of us wants to be. < More >

Active global citizenship requires you to act on the knowledge you possess. Starting a club at your school or in your community is a first step in working towards a better world.

• Awareness Raising Ideas:  Here are some examples of awareness raising events that Red Cross youth clubs across Canada have organized around the global landmines crisis. These activities can also focus on other global issues such as child soldiers and refugees.
