Canadians can help limit the effects of war in many ways. Even surfing our website and sharing the information you've learned with friends, colleagues and family is a step in the right direction towards limiting the effects of war.

- Global Issues Youth Club: You have the power to effect change within yourself, your community and the global community as well. Active global citizenship requires you to act on the knowledge you possess. Starting a club at your school or in your community is a first step in working towards a better world.
- Awareness Raising Ideas: Here are some examples of awareness raising events that Red Cross youth clubs across Canada have organized around the global landmines crisis. These activities can also focus on other global issues such as child soldiers and refugees.
- Fundraising Ideas: Fundraisers are great activities for education and awareness while at the same time raise urgently need funds to directly assist those who are affected by war and armed conflict.
