The Approach

Teamwork is the key to our approach.

We will train “Bully Prevention Teams” in schools or districts that will consist of a teacher, administrator, two or three youth and a parent or community member. Each BP Team will receive extensive training in Beyond the Hurt – as well as the tools, resources and support needed to deliver the program. Our target is to train 50 new Bully Prevention Teams in the Regina , Moose Jaw , Weyburn and Estevan areas (other locations will be targeted in the following two years).

If each team did only one new classroom presentation (assuming 30 students per classroom), they would reach an additional 1,500 youth  in the next year. We believe they can achieve this...and more.  

The catch is the cost – with training time and materials, the average cost to train a new Bully Prevention Team is approximately $2,000. Therefore, in order to train 50 new teams we need to raise $100,000.
