When you give your time or money to the Canadian Red Cross, you become part of the largest humanitarian network in the world. With your support, we can reach out to vulnerable people in crisis, no matter where they are.
We are active helping people in communities across Southern Alberta every day. Our committed volunteers are on standby 24 hours a day, seven days a week ready to respond to emergencies such as fires and floods, provide care for those facing a personal crisis, teach youth how to protect themselves from abuse, train people in first aid skills and much more. When disaster strikes overseas, Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers are often first on the scene, offering life-saving first aid and delivering essentials such as food, shelter and medicine. In times of conflict, we cross frontlines to help those who are suffering, regardless of their nationality, religion or political beliefs.
