The Canadian Red Cross is one of 185 national society members of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement , which also includes the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Federation) Every day our work brings us in contact with people affected by war, disaster, disease, political disruption and displacement. How do these events affect people in their communities? And how does the Red Cross respond?
Lower Mainland Humanitarian Issues Promotion is a multi-faceted program that addresses the needs of vulnerable populations—those affected by conflict and disaster and at risk of discrimination and injury. It also helps the public to become active global citizens. Through several unique but complementary service areas, we offer a wide range of education and training workshops / courses / events and humanitarian services, all connected with humanitarian principles, values and work.
