Humanitarian Issues Promotion

Welcome!

Humanitarian Issues Promotion focuses on humanitarian values and action looking into such pressing humanitarian issues as the impact of conflict on children, the reunification of families separated by conflict and/ or disaster, global health issues such as malaria, and the many issues facing refugees both globally and here in Manitoba. Humanitarian Issues Promotion also focuses on youth, and developing the next generation of humanitarian leaders and global humanitarian champions through a leadership program that focuses on skills development training and taking action!

Did You Know?

The International Red Cross Movement has won the Noble Peace Prize four times? The first  was in 1901, when our founder, Henry Dunant was co-awarded the Prize alongside Frederic Passy, founder of the French Peace Society. The most recent was when the ICRC and League (now Federation) won on the occasion of the Movement's 100th anniversary.
