3M, maker of Nexcare™ First Aid products, partners with Red Cross
Canadian Red Cross and 3M, maker of Nexcare™ are pleased to announce the launch of a new partnership to promote education and training on injury prevention and minor wound care.
“Thanks to this partnership with Nexcare from 3M, the Canadian Red Cross will reach even more Canadian families with important information on how to prevent injuries and treat minor wounds,” says Canadian Red Cross secretary general Dr. Pierre Duplessis. “Unintentional injuries are a leading cause of death for Canadians, especially for young people. We applaud 3M for recognizing that learning how to prevent injuries -as well as how to treat them when they do occur - is an important part of maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle.”
Nexcare™ will be involving Red Cross in many of its promotions, including an eight-week, in-store promotion in Zellers stores across Canada (expect Quebec) in April and May. Each Nexcare™ display case will include a “product use card” as a give-away for customers. The card will offer treatment tips for minor cuts and scrapes from Red Cross.
Over the course of the spring and summer, a full page ad featuring Nexcare™ support of the Canadian Red Cross will appear in publications such as Canadian Health & Lifestyle and Today’s Parent (among others). 3M will also be donating a variety of Nexcare™ products from their offering to be used in support of the Canadian Red Cross promotional events and contests.
