Stories from the Field

Over 90 expert Canadian relief workers have been sent to tsunami-affected communities to work in areas, such as: health, nursing, medicine, water sanitation, finance, logistics, and disaster management.

Relief workers are in daily contact with beneficiaries and their stories reflect the human face of tsunami relief and recovery efforts.

Donations from the Canadian public and funds from the Government of Canada enable the Canadian Red Cross to deliver international humanitarian assistance through providing financial support and by sending skilled personnel overseas to support the work of the ICRC, Federation and Canadian Red Cross.
