National Volunteer Week Profile: Andrew MacPherson

Between shifts as a trauma and emergency physician  in Victoria, B.C. hospitals, helping injured skiers at Whistler-Blackcomb, and representing the Canadian Red Cross at medical conferences around the world, Andrew MacPherson has helped firmly establish the Canadian Red Cross as the number one provider of first aid and CPR training in Canada.

National Volunteer Week Profile: Nico Lacetera

April 10, 2015 - Only a few short years after arriving to Canada from Italy, Nicolas Lacetera was looking for an opportunity to give back to his community. In September 2014, he joined the network of Red Cross volunteers - becoming  a valued addition to the Street Relief Team with the St. James Community Monday Breakfast Program, in downtown Toronto. Not only is he a welcome addition, but he has become someone whom the program relies and depends on for continued support.

April 10, 2015 - Martin Minville has been a Red Cross volunteer for five years. Since day one, he has taken on the great responsibility of Team Leader and rallied the Rimouski volunteer team. He has put together a dedicated team he can count on during emergency responses.
