Should your business become a corporate partner with the Canadian Red Cross?

From disaster relief to First Aid and CPR courses, volunteer programs and more, the Canadian Red Cross is a leading humanitarian organization and strives to improve the lives of vulnerable populations in Canada and abroad.

With an emblem recognized throughout the world as one that provides hope and relief, the Canadian Red Cross builds on the notion of a better tomorrow by connecting families and communities with the resources and tools they need to take action.

In order to meet growing demands and expand existing programs, the Canadian Red Cross has formed strategic partnerships with leading Canadian corporations across many sectors, including Walmart Canada, RBC Foundation, the PCL family of companies, Acklands-Grainger, Canadian National and Microsoft Canada.

These integral relationships have allowed the Canadian Red Cross to reach out to greater numbers of families who are in need of resources like shelter, food and clothing. Walmart Canada, the largest corporate partner of the Canadian Red Cross, has donated over $21 million, and also provides blankets and gift cards for families forced from their homes due to disaster.

Through its sponsorship of the Red Cross Rescuer awards, which honor those who have saved a life or provided aid to an injured person or party, Walmart continually affirms its commitment to the life-saving goals of the Canadian Red Cross.

The Disaster Management program ensures Canadian families impacted by disaster receive the support they need. Thanks to our domestic corporate partners, Red Cross teams are ready for large scale to small local disasters. The support of international corporate partners like Sun Life Financial allows the Canadian Red Cross to mobilize personnel and relief supplies in the event of international emergencies.

In addition to corporate partnerships, corporate supporters and media partners such as the Canadian Bankers Association, Elastoplast and The Weather Network are other ways your company can engage with the Canadian Red Cross.

These strategic corporate relationships enable the Red Cross to be there in times of need, and offers benefits to companies looking to expand their corporate social responsibility and business objectives through charitable giving.
