The Red Cross Presents a Review of 2012

January 08, 2013 - The Red Cross provides numerous humanitarian services throughout Quebec as part of a threefold process: before, during and after a disaster. This ensures that the Red Cross is always there to support Quebec families. "Everyday in Quebec, teams of volunteer responders are mobilized to help people affected by disasters. This past year, Red Cross action made a difference in the lives of nearly 5000 people, including thousands of children, who were impacted by disasters."

Four Quebec residents support Red Cross Hurricane Sandy relief efforts

November 09, 2012 - Four Red Cross volunteers, Caroline Belina, Vicky Chainey, Luc Goudreault and Denis Poulin, have left the province to take part in American Red Cross relief efforts to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. "The Canadian Red Cross maintains close ties with the American Red Cross and we are proud to support the operations of our sister Society. We are ready to deploy additional emergency responders, as needed", said Michel Léveillé, General Manager of the Canadian Red Cross, Quebec Division.

Monteregie: Red Cross enhancing assistance program for those affected by flooding

August 15, 2012 - In order to make it available to a greater number of families impacted by the April 2011 floods in the Montérégie, the Red Cross is enhancing its assistance program for those affected by the disaster. The criteria for eligibility to the program have been broadened to help homeowners whose principal residence has sustained damage to more than 60% of the home. For certain families who have already received Red Cross support, benefits will also be increased.
