May 09, 2018

Branch and online networks are accepting donations; Corporate contributions total almost $100k

TORONTO – Ten banks have come together to help the Canadian Red Cross provide immediate and long-lasting relief for those affected by flooding in New Brunswick. Support includes opening branch locations and online networks for donations, providing corporate contributions totaling approximately $100,000, mobilizing employee fundraising and other important initiatives led by individual banks.

The Red Cross is responding to extensive flooding in New Brunswick and remains on stand-by to further assist. Local Red Cross volunteers have been activated, providing a variety of services including support such as reception and information, registration and family reunification, lodging, food, first aid, and providing cots and blankets. The Red Cross has additional volunteers and supplies pre-positioned and ready to be deployed, if needed.
