Face-to-Face Fundraiser

The Canadian Red Cross Society, a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping Canadians, as well as the most vulnerable throughout the world, is seeking nine Door-to-Door Fundraisers for the Face-to-Face Fundraising Project.  Reporting to the Manager, In House Face-to-Face, the Door-to-Door fundraisers will be required to work as part of a team daily, speaking to the public about Canadian Red Cross Projects here in Canada and overseas with a view to recruit them as monthly donors.
 

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Helps the Canadian Red Cross achieve its fundraising goals through the acquisition of monthly supporters.
  • Goes door to door as part of a team informing the public of the work the Canadian Red Cross is involved in domestically and overseas.
  • Recruits interested members of the public and keeps monthly donors in line with Red Cross targets.
  • Supports the team by helping the managers and supervisors create a fun, dynamic working environment.
  • Is a great ambassador of the organization
 
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
The minimum qualifications for this position include completion of Grade 12 and a minimum of one year of work experience.

  • First Aid Certification or willingness to take training (can be provided)
Assets:
  • Valid Provincial Class 5 Drivers License
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Fundraising or sales experience
 
Working Conditions
  • 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday, shift 12pm-8pm
  • Working outdoors year round at different locations weekly
  • Working with team, though unaccompanied when interacting with the public
  • Potential overnight travel outside of  the  Lower Mainland area
  • May be required to share driving duties with other members of the fundraising team
 
This position requires a successful Canadian criminal record check.
