Sarah Hearn

Vice President, Finance

Sarah Hearn is the Vice President of Finance for the Canadian Red Cross.  Sarah is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 15 years of audit and accounting experience in both for profit and not-for-profit organizations.   She works out of the national finance office in Saint John, New Brunswick, while overseeing finance teams across the country. She values encouragement of staff to branch out, grow and learn with each new challenge.  She feels strongly that the youth in the organization should be mentored to ensure a strong succession plan for the organization.

Sarah started her accounting career with the Auditor General’s Office of New Brunswick. There she led audits with various Provincial government departments and agencies.  It was this work that led to her transfer to Legal Aid New Brunswick as their Financial Officer.  In 2004, Sarah joined the Irving Group of Companies working at JD Irving both in their Sawmills and Transportation departments as an accountant responsible for treasury and consolidations.

Sarah obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 2003.  Her undergrad is in Business Administration. She resides in Hampton, New Brunswick with her family.
