Michel Léveillé is Chief Communications Officer of the Canadian Red Cross, leading the national team of Communications and Partnerships.

Previously Director General of the Quebec Division (2008 to 2015) and national executive lead for Fund Development (2010 to 2014) of the Canadian Red Cross, Michel was at the head of various teams within the framework of disaster response, and conducted national fundraising campaigns that raised more than $ 100 million per year, placing the Canadian Red Cross among the top ten fundraising organizations in the country.

A specialist in the fields of communications, public relations and strategic issues management for the past 20 years, he has forged a solid reputation for successful strategic planning in a wide range of sectors, including business, education, and social services. From 2005 to 2008, he held the position of Senior Advisor and then Principal Director of Optimum Public Relations, a business unit of Cossette Communication Group, the largest communications firm in Canada.

Michel Léveillé holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from McGill University and has served on the Board of Directors of the Québec Alliance of Public Relations as well as on the Steering Committee of UQÀM’s Chair in Public Relations.
